A Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto elleni merénylet kivizsgálására létrehozott ENSZ bizottság a napokban hozta nyilvánosságra jelentését. A bizottság úgy találta, hogy:
„the performance of the Pakistani police was severely inadequate to the task of investigating the assassination of Ms Bhutto and lacking in independence and the political will to find the truth, wherever it may lead. The Pakistani authorities should consider conducting an independent review that would fix responsibilities and make those individuals found seriously wanting accountable for their actions or inactions”.
